voice mailI just called my uncle and left a voice mail message.

Here’s the problem: I knew he wouldn’t be home to answer it.  But I wanted him to know I was thinking of him and that I was doing well. ……I just wasn’t in the mood to talk with him.

There’s nothing wrong with my uncle…..he’s just a character. Flamboyant and sometimes over the top with one complaint after the other.

And since I wasn’t in the mood today, I thought I’d call when I knew he was unable to give me a thirty minute spill on who did what to who and why. I didn’t want to hear about who needs a new wig and the latest family gossip. And I certainly didn’t want to hear about his work drama.

What are your thoughts?

Do you call people when you know they can’t answer? If you don’t, do you think it’s wrong to do? If you do, you just might be interested in SlyDial. It’s a free service that I’ve had programmed in my phone for over a year. Click here to check it out.

Lmao, I hear you and I understand. I have people who I just would rather do voicemail tag with. Some never shut up long enough to ask how I am or what I’m going through. It’s constantly about them and their bitching about things I’ve heard a million times.

I have called people b4 when I know they aren’t going to pick up. Nothing wrong with that, you want them to know you love them and you’re thinking about them, but being ear****ed for over an hour with pointless gossip is just not for me. I wonder if they have slydial for Canadians? Google here I come.

Yes, my daughter’s father. I try to avoid the drama that comes with his whole being.

The Sphinx Says:

Oh, I do this all the time. About 75% of the time, I don’t want to be bothered. People talk too d@mn much about themselves. The other 25% of the time, I’m screening.
I don’t think it’s wrong at all. You can talk to (or not) who you want to.

Monie Says:

HI Danielle,

I just stopped by to wish you a happy holiday. I hope all is well with you. I am doing fine.

Take care and enjoy your Christmas and New Year!
